How it works

Survivor League is the simplest, cruellest football competition there is. Here's the whole rulebook.

1. 01

   Join a league

   Create a private league or join one with an invite code. The default buy-in is R2,000 per player, collected offline by the league organiser.

2. 02

   Pick one team each gameweek

   Before the first kickoff of the round, choose a single Premier League team you think will win or draw.

3. 03

   Picks lock at the deadline

   The deadline is the first kickoff of the gameweek. Until then you can change your pick as often as you like. After it, everyone's picks are revealed.

4. 04

   Miss the deadline? You're auto-picked

   No pick by kickoff and we assign one for you: the alphabetically first club you haven't used yet that plays this gameweek — Arsenal, then Aston Villa, then Bournemouth, and so on.

5. 05

   Survive or go out

   Win or draw and you're through. Lose — including with an auto-pick — and you're eliminated for the season.

6. 06

   Teams burn out

   Once you've used a club, you can never pick it again. By December, the easy fixtures are long gone.

7. 07

   Last one standing wins

   The final survivor takes the whole pot. If everyone falls in the same week, the organiser decides between a rollover or a split.
