1. The service
EPL Knockout provides a platform for running Premier League survivor (last-one-standing) pools. We provide the software: fixtures, picks, leaderboards and league administration. We are not a bookmaker and we do not hold player funds.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account. One person may hold only one account. You must be 18 or over to join a league with a buy-in.
2a. One entry per person (multi-entry ban)
Each person may enter a league once. Creating additional accounts under different email addresses to gain extra entries — into free leagues in particular — is prohibited. To enforce this we log the IP address and browser user agent associated with your sign-ins and use them to detect accounts that appear to belong to the same person. Where duplicate entries are detected, we and league organisers may remove the duplicate entries, void any picks or winnings connected to them, and permanently ban the accounts and the person behind them from EPL Knockout. Detection is a signal, not proof: if you share a household, office or mobile network with other genuine players, contact us and we will review before any action is finalised. This technical data is retained only for fraud prevention and is never shared with sponsors.
3. Leagues, buy-ins and prizes
Buy-ins are set by each league organiser and are collected offline by them — EPL Knockout never takes custody of buy-in money. Prize distribution is the organiser's responsibility. House rules (rebuys, wildcards, prize splits, draw rules) vary per league and are shown before you join.
4. Picks and deadlines
Picks lock at the first kickoff of each gameweek. If you miss the deadline, the platform auto-picks the alphabetically first club you have not yet used that plays that gameweek. Results are settled from official match data; our settlement is final.
5. Marketing communications
At signup you may optionally opt in to receive marketing emails from EPL Knockout (league news, promotions and offers). This consent is voluntary, is recorded with a timestamp, and is never a condition of using the platform. You can withdraw consent at any time via the marketing toggle on your profile page or the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Withdrawing consent does not affect essential account emails such as password resets and pick confirmations. We process this data in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
6. League sponsors
A league organiser may add a sponsor to their league. If they do, you will see a checkbox naming that sponsor when you join, covering sponsor contact and the sharing of your display name and email address with them. On sponsor-funded leagues (typically free-to-enter leagues) agreeing is a condition of entry and this is stated on the join screen before you commit; on all other leagues it is optional and never affects your entry or any prize. Consent applies only to that league and that sponsor and is recorded with a timestamp. You can withdraw it at any time from Profile → League sponsor emails, via the unsubscribe link in any sponsor email, or by emailing us — withdrawing does not remove you from the league or affect your prize. Sponsors never receive your picks or payment status. These rights apply to players in any country; we handle requests under POPIA and, where applicable, UK/EU GDPR or comparable local law.
7. Acceptable use
No abuse of other players, no attempts to manipulate results or other users' accounts, and no scraping of the platform. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
8. Liability
The platform is provided 'as is'. We are not liable for losses arising from league disputes, organiser conduct, fixture data errors, or downtime, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
